This will entitle them to benefit from the reciprocal health arrangements which exist between European Union countries. PERIOD OF INSURANCE The Period of Insurance under the Cancellation Section commences from the date of issue of the certificate and terminates on the commencement of the planned journey or trip. DEFINITIONS ‘Bodily Injury’ includes death or disablement as a direct result of exposure following a forced landing of any aircraft or a mishap to a vessel or vehicle in which you are travelling. ‘Business Equipment’ means equipment used soley by you for your business and taken with you on the business trip abroad and such equipment is not insured elsewhere by any other means. ‘Business Trip’ means any trip outside the United Kingdom during the period of insurance to carry out commercial, non manual work/business only on behalf of your employer or your company. There is no cover for any manual work/business undertaken whilst on the Business Trip unless specifically agreed in advance by the Insurers. ‘Business Valuables’ means jewellery, gold/silver/precious metal or precious stone articles, watches, cameras, photographic apparatus, binoculars, video equipment, mobile telephones and any audio or audiovisual equipment including, but not limited to: tape recorders, cassettes and players, radios, compact discs and players, minidiscs and players, computers and accesories, video games and TV sets, furs and animal skins. ‘Close Business Associate’ means an associate of the Insured in the same employment as the Insured whose absence from work or place of employment necessitates the cancellation or abandonment of the journey/trip as certified by a Senior Director of such company. ‘Close Relative’ means mother, father, sister, brother, wife, husband, daughter, son, grandparent, grandchild, parent-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in- law, step-parent, step-child, step-sister, step-brother, aunt, uncle, cousin, nephew or niece. ‘Fitness to Travel’ means that it is unlikely you will require in-patient treatment whilst abroad. ‘Golfing Equipment’ means golf clubs, golf bags, golfing clothing used exclusively for playing golf, non motorised trolleys and golf shoes being the property of the Insured. ‘Hired Golf Equipment’ means “Golf Equipment” which You have hired from a golf equipment shop or golf equipment hire shop specifically for use during the Period of Insurance. ‘Home Address’ means your home address in the United Kingdom. ‘Immediate Relative’ means mother, father, sister, brother, wife, husband, daughter or son. ‘Loss of Limbs’ means loss by physical severance at or above the wrist or ankle or the total and permanent loss of use of an entire hand, arm, foot or leg. ‘Permanent Total Disablement’ means permanent and total disablement from engaging in or attending to any kind of profession or occupation. ‘The Insured/you’ means the person or persons named in the certificate schedule. ‘Total Loss of Sight’ means complete and irrecoverable loss of sight. ‘Travelling Companion’ means an accompanying person without whom the journey or trip cannot commence. ‘United Kingdom’ includes Isle of Man and Channel Islands. ‘Valuables’ means jewellery, gold/silver/precious metal or precious stone articles, watches, cameras, photographic apparatus, binoculars, video equipment, mobile telephones and any audio or audio visual equipment including, but not limited to: tape recorders, cassettes and players, radios, compact discs and players, minidiscs and players, computers and accessories, video games and TV sets, furs and animal skins. ‘We/Us/Our/Insurers’ means Certain Underwriters at Lloyd’s of London “You/Your/Insured Person” means the first insured person and/or persons named in the certificate schedule Subject to the terms of this certificate Insurers will indemnify you, during the Period of Insurance for which we have accepted your premium, up to the sums insured provided in respect of: |
